  12. can display only ASCII text on
  13. the monitor. A Hercules card
  14. can display text and two color
  15. (black plus one color) graphics.

  17. card can display text in up to
  18. 16 colors or graphics in up to
  19. 4 colors. An EGA card can display
  20. text and graphics in a higher
  21. resolution, meaning more, smaller
